Located on the lakefront, south of the central business district, this .83-acre park provides a beach area for sunning, swimming, and water sports.
CITY BEACH SWIMMING
City Beach gives you the opportunity for a quick dip and to enjoy the lake environment. Restrooms and outdoor shower available. Convenient and free parking.
Note: no lifeguard; swim at your own risk. Please stay within the designated and marked swim area. If you notice someone operating their watercraft in or through the designated swim area, please contact the DNR Lake Patrol immediately at 641-357-5000.
SPLASH PAD
The City Beach Splash Pad is operational from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. We ask that you please abide by the following rules while using the splash pad and surrounding facilities.
BOAT RAMP & BOAT PARKING
Nearby boat ramp providing access for launching is located at the end of Main Street (located between City Beach & City Park). Also "L" shaped dock with 10 boat slips located directly off the seawall provide for a quick pick-up and drop-off site for boaters, as well as temporary mooring available. Boaters can "park" in one of the 10 short-term boat slips and enjoy shopping or eating in downtown Clear Lake. Note: No overnight or all-day mooring is allowed.
