Services

The Public Works Department provides proactive and reactive responses to streets, storm drainage, and traffic control maintenance. The large-scale operations are conducted through major construction or reconstruction projects, whereas the majority of our services are scheduled maintenance activities and others are reactive in nature. Someone observes a problem, the problem is reported, and City crews repair the problem. We want to hear from you. If you encounter a problem, let us know. You are our eyes and ears. With your help, we can continue to make Clear Lake a wonderful City to both live and work.

Problems can be reported in two ways:

  1. E-mail  [email protected]  with the description of the problem, location and any other pertinent information. Please include your name and home phone number for our records.

  2. Call our Public Works Maintenance Facility 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (641) 357-6135.  If no answer, you may contact City Hall between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (641) 357-5267.
