Sealed bids for the Clear Lake City Beach Enhancements Project – Phase 1 project will be received by City of Clear Lake at Clear Lake City Hall Conference Room, 15 North Sixth Street, Clear Lake, IA 50428 until 11:00:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, September 12, 2019
 
SECTION 00 11 13 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids for the Clear Lake City Beach Enhancements Project – Phase 1 project will be received
by City of Clear Lake at Clear Lake City Hall Conference Room, 15 North Sixth Street, Clear Lake,
IA  50428  until  11:00:00  a.m.  local  time  on  Thursday,  September  12,  2019  for  the  
following  public improvements:

The  Project  consists  of,  but  is  not  limited  to,  removal  of  existing  buildings  and  
removal  of  some  of  the existing  utilities  and  replacement  with  new  utilities  and  
installing  a  temporary  shed  to  reconnect  an existing aeration system  at the Clear  Lake City
Beach Enhancements  Project –  Phase  1 in  Clear  Lake, IA.

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00:00 a.m. local time on September 12, 2019 at
the following place:

Refer to other bidding requirements described in Division 01 Section “Instructions to Bidders”.

Each  bid  shall  be  submitted  on  the  Bid  Form  provided  with  the  Bidding  Documents,  and  
shall  be accompanied by bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, in the amount of
five (5) percent of the total bid.

Performance Bond Requirement: 100% of contract amount.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 calendar days after the date of opening.

To the extent permitted by law, the Owner reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and to
reject any and all bids.

Award of contract is tentatively scheduled for September 16, 2019.

This project is sales tax exempt.  The Owner will issue an exemption certificate for the purchase
or use of building  materials,  supplies,  and  equipment  that  will  be  used  in  the  
performance  of  the  construction contract.
