Registration form and fee are accepted in any of the ways listed above. Registration forms are processed once payment is received. Phone registrations are not accepted for any programs. All programs are filled on a first-come basis, so please register early. Some programs have a minimum or maximum number of participants. This is done to ensure the quality of our activities.
Late registrations received after the registration deadline or after a class or activity is started (if space is available) may be accepted for many of the programs. A $5 late fee is charged after program deadlines if fee and paperwork are not both received. Fees will not be prorated.
Program fees may be paid by cash, check or debit/credit card. To pay by phone, call 877-390-7368 or to pay online click here. A processing fee is charged for online and phone payments. Checks should be made payable to "City of Clear Lake". There is a $25 fee for any returned check. If a check is returned, both the amount of the check and the return check charge must be covered in cash. Registrations with incorrect fees will be notified by phone and held from processing until the correct fee is paid.
Refunds will only be given up to the first day of the program. After that, no refunds will be given unless the program is canceled/postponed or if the enrollee is unable to participate because of unforeseen medical reasons. The refund will then be prorated based on the number of classes attended. If more than 50% of the program has been completed, no refund will be issued.
Programs that are canceled or postponed due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control will be announced as soon as possible. Parents are asked to pick up their children from the program site as quickly as possible if adverse weather conditions occur. Unless otherwise announced, there will be no rescheduling of youth programs or other special events. It is our policy that if it is raining at the time a program is to begin, the program will not be held.
By their very nature, many parks and recreation programs involve body contact, substantial physical exertion, emotional stress, and/or use of equipment which represent a certain risk to users. It is recommended that you consult with your physician prior to participating in Parks and Recreation activities. Registrants in any programs, or users of any park and recreation facility, assume responsibility for any risk, implicit or direct, by participation in said activity or facility. You are further advised that the City of Clear Lake does not provide medical insurance covering injuries to participants.
Thank you to the numerous volunteers (parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, and friends) who help make the programs successful. Without the many volunteers who give so generously of their time, many of our programs would not be offered. The Parks and Recreation Department appreciates everything you do!
